The foreign ministers of Armenia and Greece had a constructive meeting with a lot on the agenda. This is what Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said during a joint press conference following his meeting with Foreign Minister of Greece Nikos Dendias.

Mnatsakanyan added that he and his Greek counterpart had discussed the bilateral cooperation in the military, economic, cultural and tourism sectors, as well as multilateral cooperation and cooperation on international platforms.

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias stated the symbolic significance of his visit to Yerevan. “Before arriving at the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, I had the honor of paying tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, and I was very moved. The Greeks share the deep pain of those crimes. We can’t forget those crimes. They must never be repeated,” Dendias said. Talking about the Armenia-Greece-Cyprus cooperation, the minister mentioned the willingness to enhance the cooperation.

The parties also discussed the relations between Armenia and the European Union. In this regard, the Greek foreign minister expressed willingness to support the development of the relations between Yerevan and Brussels.
