The World Bank (WB) has issued its Global Economic Prospects report for January 2022.

The report forecasts that economic growth in Armenia will be 4.8% in 2022 and 5.4% in 2023.

The WB experts attribute the acceleration of economic growth expected in the country for next year to several factors.

“In Armenia, growth is expected to accelerate in 2023, as robust private consumption and a more stable investment climate support domestic demand and offset the drag from ongoing fiscal consolidation. The forecast is predicated on an easing of geopolitical tensions, limited pandemic-related disruptions supported by progress with vaccinations, and improving consumer and business confidence,” the report states, in particular, regarding Armenia.
