An anti-Russian rally was held in Baku on Friday, Azerbaijani media reported.

Police officers did not allow people to approach the embassy building due to security measures. The fact angered the protesters and they read out a statement near the embassy.

 The statement demanded an immediate end to the occupation, the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine and the resolution of problems with neighbors at the negotiating table. The protesters then chanted: "Put an end to the occupation!" and handed the statement to police officers, who promised to hand it over to the embassy.
