The Turkish army has received protection systems against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), Ismail Demir, head of the country's Defense Industry Directorate said, TASS reports.

"The Turkish Armed Forces have received their first anti-drone systems "Shahin" small-sized drones," he said.

According to him, the anti-drone is developed by the Turkish defense industry company "Aselsan". It is mounted on a towable trailer and has a modular design. "The drones can be used for protection of important facilities, borders and air defense tasks, the head of Turkish defense industry added.

Demir noted that the drone defense system has a ballistic calculation function in relation to the target and is able to track it by focusing on the position transmitted from the radar
