Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd is planning to set up a logistics center at Istanbul airport and a data center near the capital Ankara with an investment of more than $1 billion, company president Michael Evans said.
Evans said the company plans to invest in Europe and the Middle East and sees Turkey as a very strong production base, Reuters reported, citing Sabah.
Trendyol, one of Turkey's most prominent e-commerce platforms, is backed by Alibaba.
