The Ministry of Transport of Russia is conducting consultations with Turkey on the issue of providing fuel for Russian planes, the press service of the ministry informed RIA Novosti.

"The flights of Russian airlines to the Republic of Turkey are carried out in as scheduled. The Ministry of Transport of Russia is conducting consultations with the Turkish side on separate issues of fuel supply for Russian planes. There are no problems in connection with the servicing of Russian airlines at Turkish airports," the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Russia informed on Friday.

Earlier, the Kommersant newspaper, citing Turkish periodical AirportHaber, wrote that the Turkish authorities have made a decision to "ban the refueling and maintenance of American-made airplanes of Russia and Belarus." According to the report, refueling and other services are prohibited for such private, cargo, commercial, and charter planes that have more than 25 percent of American components.
