Japan expresses deep concern over the worsening situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. Japan's representative Yukiya Hamamoto said at the UN Security Council meeting that after the beginning of military actions, he called on Azerbaijan to stop them immediately.

He noted that any unilateral change in the situation is unacceptable.

"The UN Security Council should continue to deal with the humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. It is necessary to ensure the safety of people and humanitarian access to international organizations. Tokyo calls on all sides to solve the problems peacefully," he said.
