The Paris City Council unanimously adopted a resolution "On granting honorary citizenship of the city of Paris to the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh)," informs the Armenian embassy in France.

With this resolution, the city council of the French capital condemns the ongoing crimes committed by Azerbaijan against the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, including the military aggression unleashed on September 19 and the ongoing genocidal process against the Armenians of Artsakh.

According to the aforementioned resolution, as a confirmation of the continuity of support provided by Paris to the people of Nagorno-Karabakh, the Armenians of Artsakh are also symbolically granted the honorary citizenship of the French capital.
