Armenia's work in the CSTO continues. Imangali Tasmagambetov, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), wrote this in his article in The International Affairs magazine.

According to Tasmagambetov, the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the border conflict between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, have become the most problematic in recent years.

"Regarding the extremely alarming situation in the South Caucasus, particularly regarding the Karabakh problem, it should be noted that the organization was ready to send a peacekeeping mission to monitor the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, but in the final part of this work, Yerevan asked to remove the relevant document related to Baku from the agenda with the upcoming signing of a peace treaty. At the same time, Armenia's work in the organization continues, Yerevan's multilateral contacts within the CSTO are proceeding in working order; Armenia has been and remains an ally. The [other] CSTO countries, for their part, remain focused on the development of allied relations with the Republic of Armenia," the CSTO chief emphasized in his article.
