YEREVAN. – The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict’s effective settlement is possible solely with the current format of the OSCE Minsk Group, Armenian National Assembly (NA) Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In his words, not only the Armenian side, but also the Minsk Group Co-Chairs have expressed such position.

“Armenia’s position is very clear: the change in the format is unacceptable. Such position is [likewise] exhibited by the EU’s high-level personalities,” Sharmazanov noted, and stressed that accordance by all the parties and the conflict’s mediators is needed to change the format.  

“The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is very complex, and it requires delicate, diligent work. Any change in the format, or an attempt thereof, will harm that work,” Armenian National Assembly (NA) Deputy Speaker concluded.
