A senior Turkish foreign ministry official, who did not want to be named, denied to the Turkish ANKAhaber news agency that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had allegedly prohibited French President Emmanuel Macron from entering Turkey via the land border from Armenia.

The anonymous Turkish diplomat added that Turkey does not want to waste time on such talk. He stressed that there is no desire to use the process of normalizing Armenia-Turkey relations in the domestic politics of another country.

A few days ago, the Turkish press wrote that Macron wanted to enter Turkey via the land border from Armenia, but Erdogan, after consulting with Azerbaijan, had prohibited it.
