YEREVAN. – Representatives from the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC), led by Armenia’s First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan, on Wednesday visited capital Yerevan’s Victory Park to pay their respects to those Armenians who lost their lives during World War II.

But an ANC leader, and Republic Party Chairman, Aram Sargsyan was not among the delegation.

ANC member and former PM Hrant Bagratyan extended his congratulatory wishes in connection with the Victory Day and added: “We will defeat these authorities just as we defeated fascist Germany.”

And with respect to 20th anniversary of the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic’s City of Shushi, Bagratyan said: “The evil failed. There is a new evil; it, too, will fail soon.”
