YEREVAN. – Head of the Republic party Aram Sargsyan’s rejection of the MP mandate was not a surprise for the Armenian National Congress (ANC), ANC member, former military prosecutor Gagik Jhangiryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Asked whether he is glad that Sargsyan rejected the mandate and whether he is going to reject it as well, Jhangiryan said he is not excited much but will not reject it as well.
As for Sargsyan’s quitting the ANC, he said it is the decision of the Republic party, and he believes that the party will make right decision.
Earlier the agency has informed that leader of the Republic party rejects the mandate and wishes good luck to the opposition bloc, without ruling out his decision to leave the bloc at the same time.
