YEREVAN.- Mayor of Gyumri Vardan Ghukasyan will remain in the office, spokesperson Lilit Aghekyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am dismissing reports on Mayor’s dismissal.

“It is nothing but speculation. We continue our work. The reports spread by information websites are untrue,” she said not mentioning about the reasons for rumors.

Earlier, Vardan Ghukasyan, who is a member of the Republican Party of Armenia, said he would reject the parliamentary mandate and would continue holding the office of Gyumri Mayor.
