YEREVAN. - The father of deputy police chief Gevorg Mheryan, who was murdered 3 years ago, has sent facts to the Prosecutor’s Office, to the Investigation Department and to deputy police chief Hunan Poghsoyan. He expects answers and in case of not receiving them in 10 days he will conduct attacks, Gevorg Mheryan’s father Petros Mheryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“I have asked several questions and I am expecting answers. There are very serious questions which need answers. If those questions get their answers then the case will be revealed. If I don’t get answers I’ll attack with more serious and effective facts so that everyone will know what is going on,” Petros Mheryan said.
He informed that powers from Russia were interested in revealing his son’s death case.
“My son was not a drug addict. He was an important figure in the Republic,” he said.
Earlier former deputy head of the Armenian National Security Service Gurgen Yeghiazaryan had told Armenian News-NEWS.am that Gevorg Mheryan new about the passport lists of Javakhk Armenians and how much money was earned by giving passports to those people. According to him he was murdered on that ground.
Gevorg Mheryan’s father told Armenian News-NEWS.am that currently the passport incident is only a version, but it could be the reason.
Petros Mheryan also informed that some personal belongings of Mheryan disappeared right after his murder, for example his flashcard.
Armenian Deputy Police Chief Gevorg Mheryan was killed on February 3, 2009, near his home. A criminal case was launched by the Special Investigative Service.
