The Armenian Apostolic Church celebrated Tuesday the feast day of Saint Gayane the Virgin and her Companions. 

In the morning, an ecclesiastical procession, together with pilgrims, headed from the Mother See of Saint Etchmiadzin to the St. Gayane Monastery, also taking along the reliquary Right Hand of the Holy Virgin Gayane being kept at the Mother See.

And a Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Monastery.

On the same day, the Armenian clergy members and representatives from the sees of the Armenian Church—who had gathered in Armenia to attend this week’s congregation assembly convened at the Mother See—visited capital city Yerevan’s Armenian Genocide Memorial, and paid their respects to the Genocide victims. A requiem service was offered at the Memorial.
