Representatives of Armenian Diaspora in U.S. took part in the Pasadena exhibition organized and sponsored by the Armenian Library and Museum of America (ALMA) as well as the Armenian Rights Council of America and the Pasadena Armenian National Committee. It was also supported by the Pasadena Armenian Youth Federation “Nigol Touman” Chapter, ANCA press release says.

“Forgotten Heroes – The Armenian Legion and the Great War” exhibition was dedicated to Armenian Legion in World War I. “Our AYF chapter was proud to learn more about the heroic Armenian Americans who served in the Armenian Legion,” stated Pasadena AYF “Nigol Touman” Executive member Berj Parseghian.

Armenian Legion was a foreign unit within French Army and formed under Armenian-French Agreement. France pledged to grant Cilicia autonomy in return for Armenians’ help in struggle against Ottoman Empire.

First exhibition dedicated to Armenian Legion was organized in 2001 and since then was showed in a number of U.S. cities.
