Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Armenia on the margins of CIS Council of Heads of Governments.

The meetings will take place after the council meeting, RIA Novosti reports. 

The agenda includes over 20 key issues concerning different aspects of interaction within the framework of CIS. One of the key issues is expansion of free trade zone in CIS area. 

The free trade zone agreement came into effect for Russia, Belarus and Ukraine on September 20. Armenia has completed ratification process and is expected to join the zone on October 17. 

The agreement was signed in October 2011 by eight CIS states – Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Ukraine.
