YEREVAN. – No one pursues Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP Galust Sahakyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. He commented on the PAP political council’s statement.

In response to the report that criminal case was instigated against former FM and current PAP MP Vartan Oskanian in order to neutralize him from the nomination as the presidential candidate, Sahakyan said that he does not remember that Oskanian has ever spoken about being nominated.

He also did not comment on how the RPA is going to vote about removing Oskanian’s parliamentary immunity.

To note, the PAP released a statement earlier, which stated that Armenia’s Attorney General Aghvan Hovsepyan’s petition for removing former FM, MP Vartan Oskanian’s parliamentary immunity is political persecution not only against Oskanian but also the party.
