YEREVAN. – The number of unemployed in Armenia makes about 72,500 as of Sept. 1, as compared to the same period last year, it has reduced by 12.1 percent, State Employment Service Agency of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The unemployed make 84.9 percent of those who seek job. The index again was reduced by 13.0 percent. However, number of unemployed women is still more and makes 71.7 percent of all the unemployed.

12,088 unemployed persons receive social benefits as of Sept. 1, while the number is reduced by 16.3 percent.
