YEREVAN. – Opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) bloc will submit a bill on establishing a temporary committee on investigating the March 1, 2008 tragedy, ANC MP Lyudmila Sargsyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to her, the bill will require the investigation of the death of ten people on March 1-2, 2008 in downtown Yerevan, the issue of legality and reasonability of the actions of Police, Special Investigation Service and the Attorney General’s Office in injuring civilians, police employees and servicemen.

To note, protest demonstrations, which took place on March 1-2 in 2008, were hold in Yerevan following the presidential elections, as the ANC leader, Armenia’s First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan and his supporters considered elections false.
