YEREVAN. – Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader Gagik Tsarukyan met on Tuesday with the U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern. The latter paid importance to the meeting with the PAP leader, Tsarukyan’s secretary Iveta Tonoyan informs.

The sides talked about the country’s foreign, domestic policy and economy issues.

As regards PAP MP Vartan Oskanian’s case, Ambassador Heffern emphasized that he is strongly concerned about the issue and follows all the developments attentively. According to the Ambassador, it is a serious blow to the justice and democratic values. He is also concerned with the timing of the process, ahead of presidential elections.

In his turn, Gagik Tsarukyan said the best lawyers examined the case confirming all the charges brought against Oskanian are groundless. He will consistent so that the investigation would be fair.
