YEREVAN. – “During the election for the [European People’s Party] EPP governing bodies at the EPP congress held in Bucharest, Hungary’s PM, EPP Vice-Chairman [Viktor] Orbán, whose name is linked with the extradition of [Ramil] Safarov [who had axed to death Armenian soldier Gurgen Margaryan in Budapest and who was released in Azerbaijan], was not elected into the EPP governing body. Furthermore, he was not even given a chance to deliver an address, and, overall, the Hungarian delegation’s participation in the congress was very constrained, our sources inform,” Hraparak daily writes, and continues:       

“And Azerbaijan, which attended the congress as a guest, was listed among the non-European countries: Afghanistan and Palestine. 

And with respect to Armenia, [President] Serzh Sargsyan, who attended the congress, held conversations and meetings. [Georgian President Mikheil] Saakashvili was sitting beside the President, [and] they had communicated and talked for very long.”
