STEPANAKERT. - Australia’s New South Wales Parliament resolution recognizing Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] and the right to self-determination of its Artsakh Armenians is a serious political and moral achievement, Arstakh President’s Spokesperson David Babayan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. He also added that it was the most important achievement of the Armenian side in the recent three years.

According to him, the New South Wales is not simply an administrative formation. Other states of Australia will also follow its example and it will become a starting point for other counties to recognize the Arstakh independence as well. In addition, works will continue on that direction with no hysteric statements, calmly and without any stir.

As the agency informed earlier, Australia’s New South Wales Parliament adopted a resolution recognizing the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh and the right to self-determination of Armenian people in Artsakh.
