YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received information, on Sunday at 3:03pm, notifying that a vehicle had gone off road, at the Sevan city-Martuni city highway—nearby Lchashen village—, and fallen into Lake Sevan.

An MES water rescue team was dispatched to the scene.    

It was found out that a Volkswagen Golf had gone off road, for yet unknown reasons, and fallen into the lake. The driver, Armen Arakelyan, however, was able to get out of the automobile before it fell into Lake Sevan.  

Subsequently, the car was removed from the lake, due to efforts by an underwater diver and a crane.

There are no casualties, or injured.
