YEREVAN. – Opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) activist Vardges Gasparii is satisfied with the decision by the Committee on Ethics of the Parliament, as it stated that the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) MP Samvel Alexanyan has violated the norms of ethics, Gasparii told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Gasparii has earlier turned to police and then filed a lawsuit, however, with no results. The case is currently in the Court of Appeals, however, the activist is ready to turn to the European Court as well if Armenian national court system does nothing.

Earlier the agency informed that Gasparii had organized a protest action in front of the Parliament on June 21 against RPA former MP Ruben Hayrapetyan, as the latter’s bodyguards have cruelly beaten military doctors in Harsnakar restaurant, which belongs to Hayrapetyan, and one of the doctors died later. Gasparii also had a poster reading “Hayrapetyan is a murderer.” Alexanyan after seeing the poster approached to Gasparii, took it, while one of the people accompanying him pushed and throw Gaspari to the ground.
