ETCHMIADZIN. – The Holy See of Etchmiadzin held on Tuesday and Wednesday the Supreme Spiritual Council Meeting headed by the All Armenian Catholicos Karekin II.

During the meeting Karekin II welcomed participation of Jerusalem Armenian Patriarchal Vicar Archbishop Aris Shirvanyan and Constantinople Patriarchal Bishop Sahak Mashalyan. The meeting participants expressed their concern about the tragic events continuing in Syria and registered with deep regret the losses of Syrian people and the Armenian community of Syria, also the recent fire at the Armenian Church in Aleppo. They discussed ways of supporting the Syrian-Armenians.
