YEREVAN.- The eleventh meeting of EU-Armenia Consultative Group was held in Yerevan on Friday presided by the head of National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan and head of EU delegation to Armenia Traian Hristea.

A report on group’s activities as of July-September, as well as proposals on raising efficiency of the activities was presented during the meeting. The activities include holding meetings and seminars, particularly on the issues related to human rights protection, as well as preparing draft document to enhance the role of civil society and cooperation with the state agencies.

Vice Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov said EU is one of Armenia’s strategic partners.

“It was once again stated that we have shared values,” he said offering to intensify cooperation with parliamentary groups, taking into account that Republican Party of Armenia, Orinats Yerkir and Heritage are members of the European People’s Party.
