The Armenian National Committee recently issued a statement as to whom it would endorse for US president, and it chose none of them.

“Mitt Romney’s indifference toward Armenian issues, plus his bottom-line-is-the-only-line business approach makes it clear he would be a dangerous choice when it comes to Armenian issues,” The Fresno Bee reports.

“As for Barack Obama, he has turned out to a disappointment of epic proportions. Armenians thought he would break rank with his predecessor by actually honoring his promise to support Armenian Genocide recognition. He reminded that his personal views on the genocide had not changed, but he lacked the courage to remind us what they were.

If Romney were to announce his support for genocide recognition today, it would be clear that he was desperate for votes. If Obama were to fulfill his promise today, he would guarantee at least one Armenian’s vote [that of the given article’s writer]. And since every vote counts, it would not hurt for him to finally do the right thing,” The Fresno Bee writes.
