YEREVAN. – Seventeen passengers—who were injured as a result of the bus accident that occurred in Armenia’s Shirak Region—had remained in hospital,  as of late Saturday evening, and eight more will be discharged on Sunday, the Health Ministry press service informs. 

According to doctors, one of the injured is in stable but critical condition. This person is from capital city Yerevan and wishes to continue the treatment in Yerevan. In all probability, this passenger will be transferred to the capital city.  

Five other passengers are in average condition and their health status is improving. Others have sustained lighter injuries. Also, the injured 10-year-old boy is in satisfactory condition, and two other passengers were already discharged from hospital.

To note, a bus, which was en route to Istanbul from Yerevan, went off road and tipped over on the Gyumri city-Bavra city highway, nearby Ghazanchi village, on Saturday at around 2:10pm. As a result, one person died and 22 people—including a ten-year-old child—were transferred to the region’s several medical facilities.
