YEREVAN. – At the initiative of Armenia’s ruling Republican Party (RPA), the Eurasian inter-party consultations kicked off Monday in capital city Yerevan. Delegations from Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus are attending the event, which will wrap up Tuesday.
In the words of RPA Vice Chairman—and Education and Science Minister—Armen Ashotyan, these talks aim to develop a new platform for strengthening ties among the political parties of CIS states, exchange knowhow, discuss the democratic processes in these countries, and create additional opportunities for cooperation among the political figures and forces of CIS states.
