PARIS. – Armenian and French presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Francois Hollande met in Paris and estimated high friendly relations between the two states, Nouvelles d`Armenien informs.

They also stated necessity of enlarging economic ties. As Hollande emphasized, France is the second major investor in Armenia, while there are more than hundred of French companies there. Anyway, there is still place to enlarge economic relations, in particular, in the sphere of transportation and agriculture, challenges.fr reports. French President has also accepted his Armenian counterpart’s invitation to visit Armenia next year.

Leaders of both countries also touched upon the bill of criminalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide.

The press conference was followed by a dinner, where the French-Armenian celebrity singer and Armenian Ambassador to Switzerland Charles Aznavour, and Co-Chairs of the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations in France (CCAF) Mourad Papazian and Ara Toranian participated as well.
