YEREVAN. – During the award ceremony that was held in Moscow on November 7, not solely Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Chairman Gagik Tsarukyan received an award and was declared “Man of the Year,” but the World Armenian Congress was awarded as well, Zhoghovurd daily reports.  

“Zhoghovurd learned that [World Armenian Congress Chairman] Ara Abrahamyan received the award for the ‘Organization of the Year.’ To note, Lragir [news agency] had written that Tsarukyan has bought his title for $30,000. But our well-informed sources inform that, in reality, the PAP leader paid $50,000 to the Russians [thereby] basically purchasing Ara Abrahamyan’s title, too,” Zhoghovurd writes.
