YEREVAN. – Armenia’s National Assembly (NA) passed Tuesday—and by a vote of 73 for, 9 against, and 17 abstaining—the bill on making an amendment in the Law on Monthly Minimum Wage. Pursuant to this bill, the monthly minimum salary will be AMD 35,000 (approx. $85), instead of the current 32,500 (approx. $79), as of January 1, 2013, in Armenia.   

Also, NA passed the proposal on making an amendment in the Law on Income Tax, whereby Armenia’s military servicemen and their equivalent entities will have to pay income tax. 

In addition, Armenia’s Parliament passed the bills on making amendments in the Judicial Code, the Law on Prosecution, and the Law on Tourism and Tourism Activities.
