YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Deputy PM and Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan on Wednesday received a World Bank (WB) delegation led by Ahmed Ihveida, Head of the WB Task Group for Coordination of Armenia’s Water Spheres.

They discussed the ongoing water supply and drainage system projects in Armenia and reflected on the prospects for improving this domain, Territorial Administration Ministry Public Relations Department informs.

Ihveida informed that he got familiar with Armenia’s continuing activities in this domain and considered the achieved results as satisfactory. Also, he gave a positive assessment to the Armenian government’s assistance rendered to these projects.       

The parties underscored the need to continue the reforms in this system, added that the number of interested donor organizations has increased, and agreed to design system management scenarios. 

Also, the interlocutors reflected on the World Bank’s budget support loan being provided to Armenia.
