YEREVAN.- ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK is the first bank in Armenia’s banking system to gain certification to ISO/IEC 27001, an Information Security Management System (ISMS) standard. The bank has been provided certification by UK-based Certification International company.

ISMS standard has been developed by International Organization for Standardization and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), bank’s press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The standard specifies information security demands necessary for creation and development of information security management system.

ISO/IEC 27001 standard demands that information security must be brought under explicit management control proving that the company is capable of protecting its information, including personal data of the customers, information about their financial assets, as well as confidential data set by the law and bank’s internal policy.

Information security is defined by the international standard as providing confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.

Providing certification to ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK proves the bank has a safe and firm information security system.
