YEREVAN. – Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] peace process may be settled within international law, Uruguayan MP, head of the Uruguay-Armenia inter-parliamentary group Rubén Martínez Huelmo told the journalists on Thursday. He is within the Uruguay delegation headed by the Parliament Speaker Jorge Orrico. The delegation has been on a visit in Artsakh and Armenia claiming they are here to get familiarized with the issue in the site.

“We will pass our observations to the FM in order to ensure necessary steps are taken,” Martínez said.

Asked about his impressions from Karabakh, the MP said that the Uruguay people traditionally have a warm attitude towards the Armenians. It is important to settle the issue based on international law, he added.
