The U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern and his wife Libby planted seedlings of apricot and cherry trees on the territory of the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan.

“We are looking forward to the first crop, with the arrival of spring,” the Ambassador wrote on the Embassy page in Facebook, asking other users for advice on how to take care for the trees.

Note that Ambassador Heffern takes active part in activities of environmental protection. In September the U.S. Embassy organized a campaign on garbage collection in Hrazdan gorge with Armenian representation of the environmental movement, “Let's do it”.
