YEREVAN. – Armenia’s national currency, the dram, was put into circulation in the country on November 22, 1993. Now, this day is marked in Armenia as the bank employees’ day.   

During Thursday’s Cabinet session, PM Tigran Sargsyan congratulated Armenia’s bank workers on this day and wished them greater happiness and success.

Also, Sargsyan noted that the Armenian national currency’s introduction was an important point on the road to building an independent state.
