STEPANAKERT.- President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan received on Thursday the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group Robert Bradtke (U.S.), Igor Popov (Russia), Jacques Faure (France) and accompanying them officials who arrived in Stepanakert the day before.

The issues related to the Karabakh conflict settlement and the latest regional developments were discussed during the meeting.

Bako Sahakyan called unacceptable glorification of a criminal who axed an Armenian officer, politicization of humanitarian issues, militaristic and terrorist rhetoric of Azerbaijan, adding this was one of the most serious blows to the peace process.

President Sahakyan urged to undertake appropriate measures to bring Azerbaijan to constructive path.

President Sahakyan once again underlined that official Stepanakert stands for peaceful settlement of the conflict, restoration of the full format of talks under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group.

Bako Sahakyan reiterated his position that the conflict settlement would be possible only when real facts are taken into consideration, when efforts are focused on the causes rather than consequences, noting that any attempt to return to the past is doomed to failure.

NKR foreign minister Karen Mirzoyan, personal representative of the OSCE chairman-in-office, ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, other officials were present at the meeting.
