The tele-marathon of All-Armenian Fund "Hayastan" has been launched in Los-Angeles. It is broadcasted on Thursday from 8.00 pm to 08.00 am Friday Yerevan time. The 12-hour tele-marathon will be broadcasted by four Armenian channels: H1 (Armenia’s Public Television) and private Armenia TV, Shant and Yerkir Media. The tele-marathon broadcast in Los Angeles can be watched on cable, satellite television and the Internet at www.armeniafund.org.

In addition, the telethon will be broadcasted in Europe, North and South America, the Middle East and Asia. The largest cable television channels of the Diaspora also intend to relay events.

Funds raised will be used to build community centers in rural areas of Nagorno-Karabakh and the implementation of programs for the development of agriculture in Tavush region, a certain amount is to be spent to solve the problems of Syrian Armenians.

The fundraiser, organized by the local structures of the Fund, shall take account of the characteristics of each of the communities. Fundraising events this year will be held in the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Greece, Sweden, Britain, Austria, Australia, Russia, Argentina and Brazil.

Armenian residents can make donations via SMS-messages, through the offices of “Haypost,” as well as by calling the Board of the Fund in Yerevan - 010 52 15 05, 010 56 01 06, 010 52 64 74.

Mobile operator subscribers in Armenia can donate 500 drams (about $1.25) by sending a name and surname or an empty SMS-message to the number 7733, or by calling 090 008 000.
