YEREVAN. – Prosperous Armenia Party’s (PAP) silence on the eve of the presidential elections is not an attempt to raise the rating of the party, expert Armen Badalyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
According to him, at the moment there are three political powers, including Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), PAP and parliament opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) likely to stand the election campaign.
“The other two parliament opposition parties include ARF Dashnaktsutyun, which is not going to nominate own candidate and Heritage, which is not persuasive enough for gaining high results. At the same time, ANC yields to PAP in political struggle, but PAP is firm in competing against RPA,” Badalyan said.
Presidential elections are scheduled in Armenia next February, while the PAP has not yet nominated own candidate.
