In the central office of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia the session of the highest authority, which was conducted by the leader of the party Serzh Sargsyan, has been closed. After the session, the press secretary of the Republican Party, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov, told the reporters, that a number of issues has been discussed during the session, interparty, preparatory works for the congress, speeches, building of headquarters.

The second part of interparty issues was related to international political cooperation. During the meeting the President Serzh Sargsyan shared his impressions from his visits to other countries.

“On December 15, on the day of our congress, we will have the chance to hear our candidate’s campaign speech. The other parties’ position does not matter, as we find that the only favorite candidate is Serzh Sargsyan. Whoever among the possible candidates runs for the post, it is going to be a competition for the second place, the chances of the leader of Armenian Republican Party [and incumbent President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan] will not suffer,” he said.
