YEREVAN. – The Governments of Armenia and Turkmenistan signed several cooperation agreements.

The official signing ceremony was held Thursday, and within the framework of Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow’s visit to Armenian capital city Yerevan. 

Also, the joint statement by the presidents of both countries was signed. 

During the briefing that followed the talks held between the two delegations, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan noted that air communication between the two countries will contribute to developing tourism. 

In addition, both countries are interested in developing contacts between the young generation—specifically, the students—of Armenia and Turkmenistan.  

Overall, the two countries’ representatives affirmed the mutual desire to make bilateral ties reach a new and higher level.
