YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Presidential Palace was the venue Friday for the official farewell ceremony for Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, who was in the country on an official visit.
Prior to the ceremony, however, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Berdimuhamedow held tête-à-tête meeting, during which the two leaders gave a high assessment to the results of the talks that were held along the lines of the visit, and noted that these results will give a new impetus to the development of Armenian-Turkmen relations and the deepening of cooperation in several domains, Armenian President’s Press Office informs.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow extended his thanks to Serzh Sargsyan for his invitation and warm reception of the Turkmen delegation led by Berdimuhamedow, and noted that such hospitality was likewise extended to other members of the Turkmenistan delegation that had arrived in Armenia several days ago. In addition, the Turkmen President expressed confidence that his visit will lead to good results and, also, the cooperation within international organizations will continue.
