YEREVAN. – Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan moderated a discussion devoted to the “Armenia: Policy Analyses for Government” report, which is prepared by the World Bank (WB) group.    

World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), and International Finance Corporation (IFC) officials attended the consultation meeting, Government press service informs.   

“The World Bank has done an extensive work. We have studied the document of the analyses of the introduced policy and are ready to discuss it,” Sargsyan informed. 

World Bank Regional Director Henry Kerali noted that the aforesaid policy outlines Armenia’s primary development challenges.  

Jean-Michel Happi, the WB Country Manager for Armenia, stressed that the document highlights the matters with respect to universal wellbeing, governance reforms, and surmounting of poverty.

Armenia’s Finance Minister Vache Gabrielyan presented the priorities of the country’s development strategy.

Subsequently, a discussion was held on the proposed policy.
