Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov avoided making warlike statements during the OSCE Ministerial Council opened in Dublin.

Stating that Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is a serious challenge to international security, Mammadyarov said Baku considers there is no alternative to peace and stability in the region, adding that Azerbaijan is the interested party. Mammadyarov did not miss the chance to accuse Yerevan of allegedly rejecting settlement initiatives.

Azerbaijani FM also spoke about the opening of Stepanakert airport, labeling operation of the airport as “provocative, outrageous step” which is undermining the peace process.
