YEREVAN. – According to well-informed sources, Armenian National Assembly Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Chairman, ruling Republican Party MP, and former Justice Minister Davit Harutyunyan plans to return to his former position following next February’s presidential elections, 168 Zham daily reports.

“Parliamentary activity is not much to Harutyunyan’s liking and he wishes to return to the Government, after a virtually six-year interval.

Harutyunyan’s wish is known also by serving Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan, who, according to our sources, is in a very panicky mood. That is why he constantly tries to wheedle Harutyunyan, accepting his [that is, Harutyunyan’s] superiority over him.

Perhaps, Tovmasyan hopes that in this way he will be able to keep Harutyunyan away from carrying out his wish,” 168 Zham writes.
