YEREVAN. – Armenian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs had no opportunity to surprise the 182,379 Armenian citizens with disabilities for the New Year, as the state budget had no allocations on this purpose, the Ministry representative on the people with disabilities Arthur Kesoyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. Armenia’s Pyunik information system counting the people with disabilities states the number of 182,379 people, out of which 84,981 are women.

According to him, the key problems for those people include the lack of accessibility of environment, employment and rehabilitation centers.

Kesoyan also added that diseases linked to blood circulation occupy the first place among disabled people, second is mental disorders, while diseases linked to nervous system occupy the third place.
