On behalf of Yerevan City Mayor Taron Margaryan, for the New Year, the Public Education Department head of Yerevan City Hall Gayane Soghomonyan and the head of the department of child protection Ida Khachatryan visited schools for children with special needs N2 and N6, and a special education center N8, which are under the jurisdiction of the Yerevan City Hall. On behalf of the mayor they pass presents to the children, as well as tickets for New Year performance.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed at the press service of Yerevan City Hall, the students welcomed guests with festive performances and concerts.
The number of schools for children with special needs under the jurisdiction of the Yerevan Municipality, where more than 300 children receive special education, is only three.
The head of the Department of Public Education Gayane Soghomonyan, on behalf of the Mayor, presented gifts and tickets to the performances also to the members of the training center of the “Salvation” NGO.
Note that, by the suggestion of the Yerevan City Mayor Taron Margaryan and decision of the Yerevan Council, from August 5 this year, the territory of the “Salvation” NGO was transferred into the ownership of the training center absolutely for free.
